Agape In Indiana

What a great week it was at Epworth Forest in IN. Every worship experience was unique and engaging, even for me from the stage. Camp just ended, but it seems like we left IN forever ago. So much has happened in my life since then – traveling back to Nashville, sleeping, doing 4th of July with my family, flying to Austin – and now I’m already half-way into another week of camp. Yet, so much remains vividly alive to me as I consider all that happened in our lives last week at Epworth.

Now that you have had some time to get home and replenish, let me remind you of the Top 10 Things you need not soon forget from last week.

1. Agape – an unearned love God has for humanity. No matter how hard we work at it, we never deserve it. But how cool it is that He wants us to experience it and use us to live it out to the world.

2. I live as I believe. God says I am “good.” And, He created me to live out the good.

3. Don’t get lost in the busy and miss the urgent.

4. Never settle for the “want to be.” Just like Jesus did as a 12 year old boy in the temple – always strive to find the “have to be.”

5. Never date my girlfriends mom…never!

6. Contagious Christianity begins with me desiring to be a person of significant influence.

7. True discipleship begins with me seeing me as God sees me.

8. Surrender = “You. Not me.”

9. Find my Mr. Apple.

10. If I don’t “get it,” I can never “live it.”

And, just for kicks remember, never get baptized in poo water.
